TJX Posts Better-Than-Expected Q2 Results, Updates Guidance
The TJX Companies reported fiscal second-quarter 2026 net sales of $14.4 billion, up 7% from $13.5 billion a year earlier and above analysts’ consensus estimate of $14.14 billion. Consolidated comparable sales rose 4%, led by gains of 3% at Marmaxx, 5% at HomeGoods, 9% at TJX Canada, and 5% at TJX International.
Net income reached $1.2 billion, compared with $1.1 billion last year, while diluted earnings per share increased 15% to $1.10 from $0.96, exceeding the consensus estimate of $1.01. Pretax profit margin rose to 11.4% from 10.9% in the prior year, driven by higher-than-expected sales and lower tariff costs. Gross profit margin improved slightly to 30.7%, and selling, general, and administrative costs declined to 19.5% of sales, compared with 19.8% last year.
For the first half of fiscal 2026, TJX posted net sales of $27.5 billion, a 6% increase from $25.9 billion a year earlier. Comparable sales were up 4%, with net income of $2.3 billion and diluted earnings per share of $2.02, compared with $1.89 in the prior year.
Looking ahead, TJX provided guidance of $1.17 to $1.19 per share for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, below the consensus estimate of $1.22, and raised its full-year outlook to $4.52 to $4.57 per share, compared with consensus of $4.51 and $4.26 reported last year. The company expects comparable sales to increase about 3% for the full year.

Analog Devices Reports Revenue Growth in Q3 2025, Lifts Outlook for Fourth Quarter
Analog Devices reported fiscal third-quarter 2025 revenue of $2.88 billion, a 25% increase from $2.31 billion a year earlier and above consensus expectations of $2.76 billion. Earnings per share came in at $2.05, topping the analyst estimate of $1.95 and up from $1.58 a year ago.
Industrial sales, which represent 45% of revenue, rose 23% year over year to $1.29 billion, while automotive revenue increased 22% to $851 million. Gross margin expanded to 62.1% from 56.7% in the prior year, and operating income grew 67% to $818 million compared with $491 million in the third quarter of 2024.
Analog Devices generated $1.17 billion in operating cash flow during the quarter and $1.09 billion in free cash flow, equal to 38% of revenue. On a trailing twelve-month basis, operating cash flow reached $4.16 billion, while free cash flow totaled $3.68 billion, or 35% of revenue.
Looking ahead, Analog Devices forecast fourth-quarter revenue of $2.9 to $3.1 billion, compared with the consensus estimate of $2.82 billion, and expects earnings per share of $2.12 to $2.32, versus analyst expectations of $2.03.

Lowe’s Q2 2025 Earnings Top Estimates; Guidance Narrowly Above Consensus
Lowe’s Companies reported second-quarter 2025 net earnings of $2.4 billion, compared with $2.38 billion in the same period last year. Earnings per share came in at $4.33, $0.09 ahead of analyst expectations of $4.24, and above the $4.17 reported a year earlier.
Total sales were $23.96 billion, flat against consensus estimates of $23.96 billion, and up from $23.6 billion in the prior-year quarter. Comparable sales increased 1.1%. Lowe’s recorded $43 million in expenses related to the acquisition of Artisan Design Group, which reduced reported EPS by $0.06. Lowe’s ended the quarter with 1,753 stores and 195.5 million square feet of retail space.
For full-year 2025, Lowe’s raised its sales forecast to $84.5 billion to $85.5 billion, slightly above Wall Street’s consensus of $84.4 billion. The company expects comparable sales to be flat to up 1% year over year. Earnings guidance was set between $12.2 and $12.45 per share, compared with consensus estimates of $12.22.
Operating income as a percentage of sales is projected at 12.1% to 12.2%, with interest expense anticipated at $1.3 billion and an effective tax rate of approximately 24.5%. Capital expenditures for the year are expected to total about $2.5 billion.
