Walmart Q2 FY2026 Results Show Revenue Growth but Margin Pressure Amid Rising Costs
Walmart reported second-quarter fiscal 2026 revenue of $177.4 billion, up 4.8% year-over-year, or 5.6% in constant currency, compared with analyst estimates of $176.16 billion. Comparable U.S. sales increased 4.6%, above the 3.8% consensus.
Global e-commerce revenue rose 25%, supported by store-fulfilled pickup and delivery as well as marketplace growth. Advertising revenue grew 46% globally, including a 31% increase in Walmart Connect U.S. Membership and other income rose 5.4%, with membership income up 15.3%. Operating income decreased 8.2%, or $0.7 billion, due to legal and restructuring costs, though adjusted operating income rose 0.4% in constant currency.
Reported GAAP EPS was $0.88, while adjusted EPS was $0.68, below analyst estimates of $0.74. This marked Walmart’s first earnings miss in more than three years. Gross margin in the U.S. expanded 26 basis points, while the overall margin remained nearly flat at 24.5%, below the 24.9% consensus.
Walmart raised its full-year fiscal 2026 outlook, now expecting net sales to grow 3.75%–4.75%, compared with the prior 3%–4% range, and adjusted EPS between $2.52–$2.62 versus the earlier $2.5–$2.6 guidance. Return on assets was reported at 8.3%, and return on investment at 15.1%.

LSI Industries Exceeds Q4 Expectations, Reports Record Full-Year Revenue in 2025
LSI Industries reported fiscal fourth-quarter 2025 earnings of $0.34 per diluted share, exceeding analyst estimates of $0.22 by $0.12. Revenue for the quarter was $155.1 million, ahead of consensus expectations of $138.89 million and representing 20% growth year over year, or 11% excluding acquisitions.
Net income for the quarter was $8.2 million, compared to adjusted net income of $10.6 million. EBITDA came in at $15.5 million, with adjusted EBITDA of $17 million, equal to 11% of sales. Free cash flow for the quarter totaled $8.5 million.
LSI’s display solutions segment grew 29% from the prior year, led by a 31% increase in grocery-related display products and 23% growth in the refueling and convenience store vertical. Lighting segment sales advanced 12%, with operating margin up 250 basis points. Bookings rose 11% year over year, resulting in a book-to-bill ratio of 1.0.
For the full year ended June 30, 2025, net sales reached $573.4 million, an increase of 22% compared to the prior year and a company record. Net income was $24.4 million, or $0.79 per diluted share, while adjusted net income stood at $32.9 million, or $1.07 per share. EBITDA totaled $48.3 million, with adjusted EBITDA of $55 million, equal to 9.6% of sales. Annual free cash flow was $34.7 million, while backlog increased 13% compared to the prior year.

Buckle Reports Stronger-Than-Expected Q2 Earnings and Revenue Growth
Buckle reported second-quarter earnings of $0.89 per diluted share, exceeding analyst estimates of $0.80 by $0.09. Net income for the fiscal quarter ended August 2, 2025, was $45 million, up from $39.3 million in the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $305.7 million, ahead of the consensus estimate of $292.61 million and an 8.3% increase from $282.4 million a year earlier.
Comparable store net sales rose 7.3%, while online sales increased 17.7% to $43.6 million from $37 million. Gross profit reached $145 million compared with $132.5 million in the prior year, and operating income grew to $56.3 million from $48.3 million.
For the 26-week fiscal period ended August 2, 2025, Buckle posted net income of $80.2 million, or $1.60 per share ($1.59 diluted), compared with $74.1 million, or $1.49 per share ($1.48 diluted), in the prior year period. Net sales for the first half rose 6.1% to $577.9 million from $544.9 million last year. Comparable store sales increased 5.2%, and online sales advanced 10.5% to $90.0 million.
Gross profit for the period was $272 million compared with $253.2 million in the same period of 2024, while income from operations rose to $99.9 million from $90.7 million. Buckle ended the quarter with 440 retail stores in 42 states, unchanged from the prior year.
