AMD Reports Q2 Revenue of $7.69 Billion; Maintains AI Focus Amid Export Constraints
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) reported its financial results for the second quarter of 2025, posting $7.69 billion in revenue. This exceeded the consensus estimate of $7.41 billion and represented a 32% increase from the same quarter last year.
AMD reported earnings per share of $0.48, in line with analyst expectations. Net income reached $872 million, up from $265 million a year earlier. Performance across segments was mixed. The Data Center segment reported $3.2 billion in revenue, up 14% year-over-year, supported by increased EPYC CPU demand. The Client and Gaming segment delivered $3.6 billion, a 69% increase, with Client revenue reaching a record $2.5 billion and Gaming revenue rising 73% to $1.1 billion. The Embedded segment declined 4% to $824 million.
For the third quarter, AMD projected revenue of approximately $8.7 billion, plus or minus $300 million, compared to the consensus estimate of $8.321 billion.
