F5 Exceeds Q1 Expectations, Raises FY 2025 Guidance Amid Strong Software Growth

F5 reported financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, posting revenue of $766 million. The revenue shows an 11% increase from $693 million in the same quarter last year, and ahead of the consensus estimate of $715.45 million. 

Software revenue surged 22% to $209 million, while systems revenue grew 18% to $160 million. Global services revenue rose 3% to $398 million. GAAP gross profit reached $626 million, representing an 81.7% gross margin, compared to $556 million and an 80.3% margin a year earlier. Non-GAAP gross profit was $643 million, with an 83.9% gross margin. 

F5 reported GAAP net income of $166 million, or $2.82 per diluted share, up from $138 million, or $2.32 per diluted share, in the prior year. Non-GAAP net income stood at $227 million, translating to $3.84 per diluted share, beating analysts’ estimates of $3.36 by $0.48.

Looking ahead, F5 forecasts second-quarter fiscal year 2025 revenue between $705 million and $725 million, surpassing the consensus estimate of $703.6 million. F5 expects non-GAAP earnings per share in the range of $3.02 to $3.14, below analysts’ expectations of $3.22. 

For the full fiscal year, F5 raised its revenue growth projection to 6% to 7%, up from its prior guidance of 4% to 5%, and increased its non-GAAP earnings per share growth forecast to 6.5% to 8.5%, up from 5% to 7%.

Qorvo Reports Q3 Results Above Estimates and Provides Q4 Guidance

Qorvo reported its fiscal 2025 third-quarter results, surpassing analyst expectations. On a non-GAAP basis, diluted earnings per share (EPS) were $1.61, beating the consensus estimate of $1.21 by $0.40. Revenue for the quarter totaled $916.3 million, exceeding the consensus estimate of $902.6 million. On a GAAP basis, Qorvo recorded a gross margin of 42.7%, operating income of $53.0 million, and diluted EPS of $0.43. 

Looking ahead, Qorvo provided an optimistic fourth-quarter outlook. Projecting non-GAAP EPS between $0.90 and $1.10, surpassing the consensus estimate of $0.86. Revenue guidance stands at approximately $850 million, ahead of the $849 million consensus.

Logitech Reports Strong Q3 Performance and Raises FY 2025 Outlook

Logitech International reported its financial results for Q3 of Fiscal Year 2025, with total sales reaching $1.34 billion. This is marking a 7% increase in US dollars and 6% in constant currency compared to the same period in the prior year. This exceeded the consensus estimate of $1.25 billion.

GAAP gross margin was 42.9%, up 90 basis points year-over-year, while non-GAAP gross margin stood at 43.2%, also an increase of 90 basis points. Operating income was $235 million under GAAP, reflecting a 6% growth, and $266 million on a non-GAAP basis, which represents a 7% increase. GAAP earnings per share (EPS) were $1.32, down 15% compared to the prior year, but non-GAAP EPS of $1.59 exceeded analyst expectations by $0.22, compared to the estimate of $1.37.

Logitech raised its full-year outlook for Fiscal Year 2025, now projecting revenue between $4.54 billion and $4.57 billion. This is up from the previous range of $4.39 billion to $4.47 billion and ahead of the consensus estimate of $4.465 billion. This revision implies a sales growth of 5.4% to 6.4% in US dollars, compared to the earlier forecast of 2% to 4%. In constant currency, the growth is expected to range between 6.2% and 7.1%.

Logitech also adjusted its non-GAAP operating income outlook, now expecting a range of $755 million to $770 million, up from the prior forecast of $720 million to $750 million. The company anticipates non-GAAP operating income growth of 8% to 10%, up from the earlier expectation of 3% to 7%.
