Best Buy Tops Q4 Estimates but Issues Cautious FY26 Outlook
Best Buy reported fourth-quarter earnings that exceeded analyst expectations, with adjusted diluted EPS of $2.58, surpassing the consensus estimate of $2.39 by $0.19. Revenue for the quarter came in at $13.95 billion, exceeding the analyst estimate of $13.66 billion.
Comparable sales increased 0.5% year over year. However, total revenue declined 4.8% from the prior-year period. GAAP diluted EPS was $0.54, reflecting a goodwill impairment charge of $2.02 per share related to Best Buy Health. Best Buy’s adjusted operating income rate stood at 4.9%, slightly below the 5.0% reported in Q4 FY24.
Looking ahead, Best Buy provided FY26 guidance, forecasting adjusted diluted EPS in the range of $6.20 to $6.60, compared to the analyst consensus of $6.60. Revenue is expected to be between $41.4 billion and $42.2 billion, slightly below the consensus estimate of $41.811 billion. CrowdStrike Reports Fiscal 2025 Growth but Issues Lower-Than-Expected EPS Guidance
CrowdStrike Holdings reported fourth-quarter and full-year fiscal 2025 results, with total Q4 revenue reaching $1.06 billion, exceeding the consensus estimate of $1.03 billion. Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) grew 23% year-over-year to $4.24 billion, with $224 million in net new ARR added during the quarter.
Subscription revenue rose 31% year-over-year to $3.76 billion, contributing to total fiscal 2025 revenue of $3.95 billion, a 29% increase. CrowdStrike also delivered $1.38 billion in operating cash flow and $1.07 billion in free cash flow for the year. Non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) for Q4 came in at $1.03, beating analyst expectations of $0.86 by $0.17. However, GAAP net loss for the quarter was $92.3 million, compared to net income of $53.7 million in Q4 fiscal 2024.
Looking ahead, CrowdStrike expects Q1 fiscal 2026 EPS between $0.64 and $0.66, which is lower compared to the consensus estimate of $0.96. Q1 revenue is projected to be between $1.10 billion and $1.106 billion, slightly below the consensus of $1.105 billion.
