Lululemon Books $2.4 Billion In Quarterly Revenue And Draws Twelve Analyst Actions

Lululemon sells athletic apparel under its own name. It sells through company-operated stores and its own website, with a smaller wholesale channel. The company reports three geographic segments: the Americas, China Mainland and the rest of the world. The store count reached 825 at the end of the quarter, nine more than the quarter before. Revenue over the last twelve months was $11.20 billion.

What Lululemon’s Second Quarter Showed

Lululemon reported its second quarter on 3 September. Net revenue was $2.4 billion, 4 percent below the same quarter a year earlier. Comparable sales were 9 percent lower. Americas revenue was 8 percent lower. China Mainland revenue was 4 percent higher, though 2 percent lower once currency moves are stripped out. The rest of the world was 5 percent higher.

Gross margin was 60.5 percent, 200 basis points wider than a year earlier. Operating margin was 18.8 percent, 190 basis points narrower. Diluted earnings were $2.92 a share, of which $0.86 came from tariff refunds. Inventory was $1.7 billion.

Lululemon now guides to full year revenue of $10.350 billion to $10.500 billion and diluted earnings of $9.48 to $9.73. For the third quarter it guides to revenue of $2.290 billion to $2.320 billion and earnings of $0.93 to $0.98. Meghan Frank, the interim co-chief executive, said the company is “taking a prudent approach with our revised full-year outlook.”

Zscaler sells cloud security by subscription. Its Zero Trust Exchange inspects traffic between users, devices and applications rather than routing it through a corporate network. The platform runs across more than 200 public data centres. Revenue over the last twelve months was $3.35 billion.

What Zscaler’s Fiscal Fourth Quarter Showed

Zscaler reported its fourth quarter on 3 September. Revenue was $898.2 million, 25 percent above the same quarter a year earlier. Annual recurring revenue ended the year at $3.771 billion, also 25 percent higher, and net new ARR in the quarter was $246 million.

Non-GAAP operating margin was 24 percent in the quarter, a record for the company, and 23 percent across the year on $767.1 million of operating income. Non-GAAP earnings were $1.19 a share in the quarter and $4.21 across the year. Free cash flow was $779.1 million for the year. In the fourth quarter it was $60.8 million, held down by capital spending.

Guidance for fiscal 2027 runs to revenue of $3.908 billion to $3.938 billion and ARR of $4.396 billion to $4.426 billion. Jay Chaudhry, the chief executive, said “AI represents one of the most significant opportunities in Zscaler’s history.”

Asana sells work management software, priced by subscription seat across several tiers. Its newer artificial intelligence products, AI Teammates, AI Studio and Asana Dash, are due to reach every paid tier in the fiscal third quarter. Revenue over the last twelve months was $828 million.

What Asana’s Fiscal Second Quarter Showed

Asana reported its second quarter on 3 September. Revenue was $216.4 million, 10 percent above the same quarter a year earlier. Non-GAAP operating income was $21.8 million, or 10 percent of revenue, against $14.0 million and 7 percent a year earlier. Adjusted free cash flow was $42.3 million, from $35.4 million.

Customers spending more than $100,000 a year reached 890, 16 percent more than a year earlier. The dollar-based net retention rate was 97 percent, which compares what existing customers spend now against what the same customers spent a year ago.

Full year guidance runs to revenue of $858.5 million to $863.5 million and non-GAAP earnings of $0.37 a share. Dan Rogers, the chief executive, said the core business “continues to strengthen, with improving retention”.
