Apple Downgraded Amid Weak iPhone Demand and AI Concerns

Apple faced a downgrade from Jefferies analyst, Edison Lee, on concerns about weak iPhone demand and limited enthusiasm for new artificial intelligence (AI) features. Lee reduced its rating to Underperform from Hold and slashed its price target by 13% setting it at $200.75. Edison Lee noted a 4% decline in iPhone shipments during the December quarter, aligning with the firm’s earlier concerns.

Apple has launched AI-driven features in its latest devices, including email summaries and personalized emojis, but consumer surveys suggest limited interest. These findings indicate AI might not drive a significant upgrade cycle in the near term.
