Kate Spade is forecast to return to profitable topline growth by fiscal 2027. Chipotle to Enter Asian Market with First Locations in South Korea and Singapore

Chipotle Mexican Grill announced it will enter Asia for the first time through a joint venture with SPC Group, a South Korea-based food company. The partnership plans to open the first Chipotle restaurants in South Korea and Singapore in 2026.

Currently, Chipotle operates over 3,800 restaurants globally, with approximately 98% located in the United States. Its existing international footprint includes more than 60 restaurants in Canada, 20 in the United Kingdom, six in France, and two in Germany. The company is also pursuing expansion in other regions, including a deal with Alshaya Group to operate six restaurants in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, and an agreement with Alsea to launch its first Mexican location in 2026.

Chipotle lowered its annual sales growth target earlier this year and continues to manage headwinds tied to softer U.S. consumer spending and rising supply-chain costs. Despite these challenges, the company has set a long-term goal of operating 7,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada, with 315 to 345 new openings expected in 2025.
