Robinhood
Robinhood runs a trading app for stocks, options, crypto and prediction markets. It also earns interest on customer cash and sells a Gold subscription. The company is based in Menlo Park, California. It reported third-quarter results after the close on Tuesday. Revenue came to $1.42 billion, 0.7% below the $1.43 billion consensus on StreetInsider. StreetInsider puts adjusted earnings at $0.60 a share, 9.1% above the $0.55 expected. Diluted earnings under standard accounting came to $0.51, 16% lower than a year earlier. Crypto revenue shrank 55% from a year earlier, to $120 million. Net interest revenue slipped 9% to $415 million. CNBC attributed the weaker profit to lower crypto trading.
Other lines grew. Options revenue grew 31% to $399 million, and equities revenue 41% to $121 million. Prediction market revenue grew more than sixfold to $173 million. Funded customers reached 28.7 million, and Gold subscribers 5.2 million. Platform assets stood at $396 billion. Robinhood also trimmed the top of its 2026 cost outlook by $25 million.
Twelve Desks Respond to Robinhood
James Yaro of Goldman Sachs maintained Robinhood at Buy and lowered the price target from $145 to $128 today, a Wednesday. John Todaro of Needham maintained Robinhood at Buy and lowered the price target from $126 to $116. David Smith of Truist maintained Robinhood at Buy and lowered the price target from $134 to $125. Andrew Harte of BTIG reiterated Buy with a $135 price target. Dan Dolev of Mizuho reiterated Outperform with a $130 price target. Mark Palmer of StoneX reiterated Buy with a $170 price target.
Six more desks moved later on Wednesday. Benjamin Budish of Barclays kept Overweight and lowered his target from $132 to $115. Daniel Welden of Wells Fargo kept Equal Weight and lowered his target from $120 to $100. Lance Jessurun of Scotiabank kept Sector Outperform and lowered his target from $136 to $124. Alex Markgraff of KeyBanc kept Overweight and lowered his target from $140 to $135. Kenneth Worthington of JPMorgan kept Neutral and lowered his target from $115 to $114. Devin Ryan of Citizens reiterated Market Outperform with a $165 price target.
Two of the notes give their own reason. Palmer wrote that “the operating metrics that underpin our bullish thesis” set records. StreetInsider’s headline on the Mizuho note quotes Dolev: “HOOD Favors the L-T vs. High Fructose Sports Betting Syrup.” The eight cuts came with no reason in any free source. Our guess, not taken from the notes: the 55% drop in crypto revenue led them to lower their revenue estimates.

SoFi Technologies runs an online bank that makes personal, student and home loans. It also sells investing and banking products to members, and its Galileo and Technisys units supply software to other banks. The company is based in San Francisco. It reported third-quarter results before the open on Tuesday. Revenue came to $1.39 billion, 11.2% above the $1.25 billion consensus. Earnings were $0.18 a share, 5.9% above the $0.17 expected. Lending drove the beat. Lending revenue grew 66%, on record loan originations of $16.9 billion, which grew 71%. SoFi added a record 1.2 million members, for 17.1 million in all.
SoFi raised its 2026 revenue outlook to about $5.04 billion, 3.3% above the $4.88 billion consensus. It also gave a first outlook for 2027. Seven Desks Move on SoFi
Donald Fandetti of Wells Fargo maintained SoFi at Equal Weight and raised the price target from $17 to $18 today. Moshe Orenbuch of TD Cowen maintained SoFi at Hold and raised the price target from $17.50 to $18. Mihir Bhatia of BofA maintained SoFi at Underperform and raised the price target from $16 to $16.50. Timothy Switzer of Keefe, Bruyette & Woods maintained SoFi at Underperform and raised the price target from $15 to $16. Kyle Peterson of Needham reiterated Buy with a $24 price target. Later on Wednesday, Mark Palmer of StoneX kept Buy and raised his target from $25 to $27. Jessurun of Scotiabank kept Sector Outperform and raised his target from $25 to $26.
Peterson’s note, per its StreetInsider headline, called the quarter impressive. Summaries of the Wells Fargo note say Fandetti sees stronger loan economics and growth into 2027 behind guidance above consensus. The other five raised their targets without a reason in any free source. Our guess, not taken from the notes: the 2027 earnings outlook above consensus lifted their estimates, while the ratings stayed put.

Tore Svanberg of Stifel kept Hold and lowered his target from $265 to $250. Joshua Buchalter of TD Cowen kept Buy and raised his target from $275 to $280. Joe Quatrochi of Wells Fargo kept Equal Weight and raised his target from $235 to $245. Matthew Prisco of Cantor Fitzgerald reiterated Overweight with a $400 price target.
None of the twelve notes gave a reason in a free source. Our guess, not taken from the notes: the fourth-quarter revenue midpoint, just under consensus, led most of them to trim their targets.
