Three companies drew analyst action on Wednesday morning. Dick’s Sporting Goods ($DKS) took three separate target cuts, and two of them were downgrades. Intuit ($INTU) drew two downgrades of its own, alongside one raised target from a desk that still rates it Underweight. DT Midstream ($DTM) picked up the only upgrade among the three. Both the retailer and the software company had reported on Tuesday.

Dick’s Sporting Goods Reports A $5.59 Billion Quarter And Three Desks Cut To $180 Or Lower

Dick’s Sporting Goods sells athletic gear and apparel. It runs its own stores plus Golf Galaxy and House of Sport. It holds an investment in Foot Locker. Second quarter revenue came in at $5.59 billion. Adjusted earnings, however, were $3.53 a share, against the $3.80 analysts had penciled in. Comparable sales growth was 4.9 percent. The quarter also carried a $31.9 million loss on the Foot Locker stake.

The company then kept its comparable sales outlook for 2026. It lowered its adjusted earnings guidance. In its own release it pointed to challenging conditions in athletic footwear and apparel.

Dick’s Sporting Goods’ Stock Price Target News Today

Robert Drbul of BTIG held his Buy rating on Dick’s Sporting Goods. Still, he took his price target from $300 to $180. He made that call today.

Joseph Civello of Truist Securities downgraded the stock to Hold from Buy, then moved his target from $270 to $135. That is a cut of $135, against $120 from Drbul.

Cristina Fernandez of Telsey Advisory also downgraded, to Market Perform from Outperform. She lowered her target from $255 to $145 the same morning.

All three sit under the $255.97 average across the 16 analysts AnaChart tracks on the name.

Intuit Guides First Quarter Adjusted Earnings To $2.44 And Two Desks Downgrade

Intuit sells tax and accounting software. TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma and Mailchimp are its main products. Fourth quarter revenue reached $4.35 billion. Adjusted earnings were $4.03 a share, while analysts had modelled $3.58.

Then came the guidance. Intuit put first quarter adjusted earnings at $2.44 to $2.48 a share. Analysts, though, had been carrying $4.04. On a reported basis it guided the quarter to $1.71 to $1.75, against $2.27 modelled. For 2027 it set adjusted earnings at $22.88 to $23.12.

Intuit’s Stock Price Target News Today

Tal Liani of BofA Securities downgraded Intuit to Neutral from Buy. He also cut his price target from $400 to $360, in the same note published today.

Arti Vula of JPMorgan downgraded the stock to Neutral from Overweight, with a $331 target. Because AnaChart does not yet carry a track record page for Vula, his numbers sit outside the comparison below.

Billy Fitzsimmons of Piper Sandler kept his Underweight rating and lifted his target from $250 to $290. He has been at Underweight on the name since July.

Keith Stanley of Wolfe Research upgraded DT Midstream to Outperform from Peer Perform. He set a $145 price target alongside it.
