Selected Stock Price Target News — June 26, 2026

Three stories led the analyst tape on June 26, 2026. ON Semiconductor drew at least six analyst notes. That came after it agreed to buy Synaptics in an all-stock deal worth about $7 billion. Darden Restaurants reported earnings and drew at least seven raised price targets by the next morning. Qualcomm was still drawing target changes off its 2026 investor day, with one firm down at $190 while another moved up at $300. The targets are public within minutes. How often each analyst actually hits them is what AnaChart tracks.

onsemi’s $7 Billion Synaptics Deal Divides ON Analysts

ON Semiconductor, known as onsemi, makes power management and sensing chips for cars, factories, and data centers. The company posted first quarter 2026 revenue of $1,513 million and non-GAAP EPS of $0.64. On June 25, onsemi agreed to buy Synaptics in an all-stock deal worth about $7 billion. The combined company would fold in Synaptics’ Edge AI computing, its wireless connectivity, and its Astra platform. Astra pairs AI processors with neural processing units and open source software tools. Synaptics holders get 1.35 onsemi shares for each share they own. That’s a roughly 19% premium to the two companies’ combined 10-day average prices. They’d end up owning about 12% of the combined company.

CEO Hassane El-Khoury pitched the deal as a push into physical AI. That means chips built for cars, robots, and headsets, instead of data centers. Onsemi says the deal adds $30 billion to its addressable market. That takes it to $243 billion by 2030. It expects about $200 million in annual cost savings. Both boards signed off. The deal still needs a Synaptics shareholder vote and regulatory approval. Onsemi doesn’t expect it to close until mid-2027.

Two firms raised their ON targets the morning after the deal. Quinn Bolton at Needham went from $110 to $130 and kept his Buy. He’s reached 84.86% of his past price targets. His average upside is 27.59%, over about 239 days. Mark Lipacis at Evercore ISI held his Outperform and moved from $121 to $137. His hit rate is 87.14%, and his targets tend to land in about 271 days. Vijay Rakesh at Mizuho stuck with his Outperform. He’s hit 86.81% of his targets.

Where The Skeptics Stand

Others weren’t sold. TD Cowen‘s Joshua Buchalter cut ON to Hold. Cantor Fitzgerald stayed Neutral, and Stifel kept its Hold. The worry is what onsemi is paying, and how long it takes. Investors won’t see a close until mid-2027, more than a year out. Onsemi says the deal starts adding to non-GAAP earnings within 18 months of closing. It also says gross margins will stay in line with its long-term model. The bulls take that on faith. The bears want to see it first.

So the targets spread wide. Lipacis is up at $137 while three firms sit at Hold or Neutral. AnaChart has ON covered by 24 analysts, with 706 price targets and 539 ratings on file. The average target is $93.1, and the low sits at $55 across the full history. The new $130 and $137 calls sit well above that average. Bolton and Lipacis also rank among the more accurate of those 24 names.

Darden Draws Price Targets From $212 to $240 After Its Q4 Report

Darden owns and operates Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Capital Grille, and several other restaurant chains. Darden reported fiscal Q4 EPS of $3.66, three cents above the $3.63 consensus. Revenue came in at $3.72 billion, just below the $3.73 billion estimate, though the quarter was still a small beat. The guidance did the real work. Darden guided fiscal 2027 EPS to $11.10 to $11.35, well above the $10.62 the Street had. It guided revenue to $13.6 billion to $13.75 billion, versus $13.22 billion expected. Darden also declared a quarterly dividend of $0.56 a share. Analysts started lifting their targets on that guidance the next morning.

Baird‘s David Tarantino raised his target from $210 to $220 and stayed Neutral. His hit rate is 74.65%, with 17.03% average upside over 198 days. BTIG‘s Peter Saleh went from $225 to $235 with a Buy, a call he lands 72.77% of the time, over 381 days. Stephens analyst Jim Salera kept an Equal-Weight and nudged his target from $210 to $216.

The raises kept coming. UBS went to $240, the high of the morning. Deutsche Bank moved to $236. Guggenheim went to $235, and Piper Sandler to $212, while Mizuho stayed at Outperform. The group landed between $212 and $240. Nobody was arguing about the quarter. They just don’t read the 2027 guidance the same way.

Saleh and Tarantino landed $15 apart: a Buy at $235 and a Neutral at $220. Both have hit better than 72% of their past targets. Their numbers were on the wire within minutes of the report. Darden, though, won’t post the fiscal 2027 results they’re aimed at for another full year.

Qualcomm Targets Stretch From $190 to $300 After Its Investor Day

Qualcomm designs chips for smartphones, cars, and connected devices, and licenses its wireless patents. The company posted fiscal second quarter 2026 revenue of $10.6 billion and non-GAAP EPS of $2.65. Since Qualcomm laid out new long-range goals at its 2026 investor day on June 24, at least six firms revised their targets over the next two days. The company set a fiscal 2029 non-handset revenue goal of $40 billion. That’s roughly double its earlier target for that year. It put data center revenue above $15 billion. Qualcomm set automotive revenue at $10 billion, on a $65 billion design win pipeline, and it set the internet of things business above $14 billion. That splits into $8 billion from industrial, networking, and robotics, and $6 billion from personal AI and compute.

CEO Cristiano Amon presented alongside CFO Akash Palkhiwala. They set a fiscal 2029 non-GAAP EPS goal above $18.00, against a GAAP figure above $14.50. Amon described Qualcomm as a platform company. It’s going after a combined market worth about $1.7 trillion by 2030. By 2029, though, the company says handsets would make up only about a third of its chip revenue. Around the same time, Qualcomm widened its partnership with Hugging Face. The goal is to move open AI models from device to cloud.

Timothy Arcuri at UBS raised his target from $170 to $235 but kept a Neutral. He’s reached 90.77% of his past targets. His average upside is 31.02%, over about 299 days, one of the better records on the day. Atif Malik at Citi went from $160 to $198, also keeping Neutral. He’s hit 90.3% of his targets over about 186 days. Both raised their numbers without changing their ratings.

Where The Desks Split

The desks didn’t agree. Morgan Stanley‘s Joseph Moore upgraded Qualcomm on the data center forecast. Benchmark set the high at $300, and Susquehanna the low at $190. That’s a $110 gap off the same investor day.

Arcuri and Malik both raised their targets but kept Neutral ratings. They like the numbers more than they did, just not enough to upgrade. Qualcomm is promising $40 billion in non-handset revenue by 2029. The two most accurate names on the stock today aren’t betting on it.
